Secondary Computer Science Teacher
Shanghai, China

Start Date: Aug 2025
Region: Far East and South East Asia
School Curriculum: Chinese core curriculum with UK adaptations leading to iGCSE and A-level
Experience: 2 years

Living and Working in Shanghai Lingang

Located in Nanhui New City (formerly Lingang) which is, although officially part of Shanghai city, in fact about 60km south of downtown Shanghai (Just over an hour or so from Central Shanghai on the peninsular at Hangzhou Bay). This is a brand new city in the Pudong area of Shanghai which has had huge investment with the goal of turning it in to a Mini Hong Kong. Shanghai itself is very exciting. The city is an amazing blend of traditional China and modern living with everything you can imagine on offer and more.

School Requirements

  • You should be a qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience
  • You should have an inquiry based approach to your teaching and an ability to work well within a variety of cultures.
  • You will need to be adaptable and flexible and have a positive approach to life, willing to contribute to the continuing development of this great school.
  • Previous EAL and international experience are warmly welcomed
