The School

This school aims to be the first British-branded all-through IB school in Tokyo and opened in September 2023 to pupils across Primary and Secondary School to Foundation Year 3 (Year 9). Facilities are excellent with a four storey main building and two storey gymnastics stadium, multi purpose sports facilities and 21st century specialist classrooms.

Location

The school is located in Kodaira, a 30 minute commute to Shinjuku, central Tokyo. This is a highly academic area of the city.

Tokyo is a huge, wealthy and fascinating metropolis that has something for everyone: be it high-tech visions of the future, or nostalgic glimpses of old Japan. Always changing, and with a diverse collection of neighborhoods, no two experiences of the city are ever the same.

Requirements

Expected to teach and support MYP (Visual Arts) pupils as they work towards the IB Diploma Programme. Working with our older Prep school pupils may also be required. The postholder will play a full role in the school's curricular, co-curricular and pastoral programmes.

  • Qualified with a minimum of one years experience
  • Experience of IB curriculum is preferred but excellent teachers who adopt an inquiry based approach to their teaching will be considered.
  • Excellent track record of delivering excellent results
  • A commitment to holistic student centred teaching model
  • Previous international experience welcomed but not essential
  • Previous EAL teaching experience is valuable
