This is a leading school on the island of Penang, located in the prestigious neighborhood of Tanjung Bungah, just outside George Town. The school offers a British-based curriculum for 3 to 16-year-olds that follows IPC, the National Curriculum for England, and IGCSEs. With a new 75,000 sq. ft. STEAM facility set to open in April 2024, the school community is set to embark on a new approach to education pillared on the progressive learning approach of STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. Powering its new STEAM focus is an educational philosophy that has been proven around the world - Amazing Learning. Requirements:
- Appropriate degree and teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor's Degree with teaching qualification, PGCE/Diploma in Education OR relevant degree).
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience required preferably in an international school context covering International Primary Curriculum.
- Must be able to teach computing.
- Creative, inspiring, patient, resourceful and energetic.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly responsible, dedicated, hardworking and a team-player.
- Reflective individual who is committed to lifelong learning and development.
- Experience teaching students with English as an additional language.
To be successful in your application, you should:
- be a fully qualified and/or licensed teacher
- be able to pass police checks and background checks including references
- be a proficient English speaker
- possess good classroom management skills
- be a citizen of the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the USA or Canada (to meet visa requirements)
