This reputable, high performing school in Muscat is seeking a UK curriculum experienced Computer Science Teacher with a solid and consistent background of the National Curriculum of England and Wales to join teach online classes until the end of the Summer Term.
The school is a not-for-profit, non-selective, co-educational, British international day school that provides a comprehensive and balanced education to a mix of approximately 900 English speaking expatriate pupils aged 3 - 18. The school follows an enhanced National Curriculum for England and Wales and produces exceptionally high SAT, GCSE and A Level results, placing it in the top 2% of schools in England. The school provides children with a British education for an international future.
Candidates can be newly qualified, with the NQT year supported by the school, but for this role would prefer 2 years experience. UK trained whilst demonstrating recent and proven working knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
Requirements:
- The school is looking for an excellent Computer Science specialist teacher to teach an online timetable of 14 hours per fortnight.
- The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher who is passionate about nurturing young learners.
- Candidates should hold a UK or internationally recognized teaching qualification and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a UK or British international school.

- Whilst daylight saving is on, Oman is 4 hours ahead of the UK and then when British Summer Time begins in the UK, 3 hours ahead
To be successful in your application, you should:
- be a fully qualified and/or licensed teacher
- be able to pass police checks and background checks including references
- be a proficient English speaker
- possess good classroom management skills
- be a citizen of the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the USA or Canada (to meet visa requirements)
- remain open minded, resilient and keen to contribute to the future success of the school
