The School
This school opened in 1999 and is a well-respected, small boutique school with around 200 international students from Grades K-8. The K-5 section is an IB PYP school based on UK Standards, the Middle School 6-8 section is a PBL Program based on UK Standards. Teachers exercise agency in the design and delivery of the programmes and regularly access the rich community resources of Tokyo.
This school is located in the heart of Tokyo and is housed in two buildings in the Shibuya area beside Yoyogi.
The schools aim is to nurture curiosity and love of learning in all of their students, and to prepare well-rounded students for top high school programs globally.
Living and Working in Tokyo
The school is ideally located in front of Yoyogi Koen, Tokyo's largest metropolitan park. Classrooms overlook the park and are bright and spacious. School facilities include a library housing more than 1500 books, computer terminals, an outdoor playground and a gym with basketball hoops, balancing beams and various other Physical Education equipment.

School Requirements
The school is looking for a Middle School Vice Principal who can also teach one subject. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a stimulating and inclusive educational experience that aligns with the principles and philosophy of PBL Program based on UK Standards.
- Flexible, demonstrating the initiative to work independently, as well as the ability to communicate and interact with the wider school community.
- Should have a warm nature, committed to the wellbeing of students, and families.
- Communication, respect and professionalism are vital in all working relationships within the school.
- Able to promote a culture of inquiry and critical thinking
- The school is quite conservative and the majority of the parents are senior executives or CEO's of multinational corporations or diplomats. Parents have high expectations and the school requires a high standard of professionalism from their staff.
