Established in 2005, Dulwich College Beijing is a dynamic, very well-known and highly respected high performing co-educational independent school. The school caters for approximately 1570 expatriate children aged 2-18 from forty five different countries across six continents. The school comprises three schools, each with its own Head teacher: DUCKS; Junior School; and Senior School. They offer the English National curriculum in KS3, International GCSEs in KS4 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in KS5. Role and Requirements
The school is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic School Librarian to develop the DUCKS School's (ages 3-7) library provision at Dulwich College Beijing in accordance with systems, policies, and procedures.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of library experience,
- An appropriate university degree relating to library science or teacher librarianship
- A wide knowledge of children's literature to support the varying levels of readers and the teachers in their delivery of the curriculum.
- Be able to work as part of a team sensitive to the needs of emerging and EAL readers.
- Prior international teaching experience is desirable.
- You will be excited about working in a dynamic, diverse community spanning many cultures and languages.
- You will be an educator that keeps abreast of academic research and you will have firm beliefs in the need to adjust your teaching to accommodate varying learning styles.
