Dehong International Chinese Schools are sister schools to Dulwich College International schools. The Beijing campus provides first-class facilities integrating collaborative learning spaces with areas dedicated to performing arts, sports, STEAM and innovation. A Grade 1-12 School, with capacity for 6-forms of entry, the campus is designed for 1,800 students. Boarding houses will enable over 400 students to reside within the campus. The campus is located in the Grassetown residential development, in Tongzhou District of north Beijing.

Role
The Curriculum Coordinator is accountable, together with the Head of Secondary, for the overall quality of the curriculum in the school. The coordinator is an active and dynamic leader who works collaboratively with Dehong senior school teachers to create warm, flexible, language rich environments which promote high quality learning, student agency, and independence. He/she develops positive and caring relationships with students, parents and all school staff. The Coordinator understands how to motivate both staff and students to love learning and knows how to build knowledge and skills in both. The Coordinator understands how to support teachers in their work on student wellbeing and in developing strong and positive character attributes essential to leading a successful and purposeful life. He/she is a collaborative leader who works with others across the grade level and school to develop the Dehong curriculum and to plan and deliver exciting, academically challenging, inquiry- based units, which are carefully designed to ensure the development of each student's language competencies. The coordinator believes strongly in action research and is committed to participating in and leading professional learning. He/she keeps up to date on curriculum development and uses best practice to inform planning, classroom practice and assessment strategies. A clear understanding of Dehong's vision, mission and learning principles is essential.

Qualifications and Experience
- Fully qualified with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying teaching experience
- Excellent leadership skills with the capacity to drive pedagogical innovation and best practice
- Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills;
- Significant experience of teaching the IB Diploma Programme;
- Knowledge of all relevant IB curriculum and assessment matters.
- Able to carry general credibility with students, parents, staff and IB professionals both within and outside the DCIS community;
- Speak effectively at public meetings organised to deal with IB issues;
- Think strategically across the senior and whole school.
