Location: Lekki Peninsula (Lagos), Nigeria
Curriculum: UK curriculum
Contract Length: 2 Years
Salary: From $50,000 - $70,000 USD (tax free) per year depending on role and experience
Experience Required: Minimum of 2 Years
Start date: August 2025

Teachanywhere is delighted to be supporting the staff recruitment in the launch of the first British Independent school in West Africa in what is Nigeria's biggest single education investment to date. Opening in Sept 2024, this school (which founded in the UK in 1611) aims to set a new standard in educational provision in Nigeria. Afforded world class facilities - students will be able to develop a true passion for learning and for excellence under excellent leadership.

Opening initially from Years 1 - 6 - this school will eventually grow to a through Year 1 - year 13 school.

Living and Working in Lagos:

You will be based on Lekki island south of Lagos (connected by a bridge) - a highly affluent and safer part of the city. Lagos has become much safer than its reputation affords it but a sensible approach to life is recommended. You will be living on a secure campus and will have drivers to take you around the city at your bequest.

Lagos itself is the largest city in all of Africa! Famed for its music scene - it is also the centre of all show business in Nigeria. You'll find a tropical climate awaits and the beaches and coast is a great place to escape the city hustle and bustle. Requirements:

  • Must be a fully qualified teacher with a minimum of two years post qualifying experience
  • Previous international teaching experience is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Independent, adaptable and flexible with a growth mindset

Salary & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary from $50,000 - $70,000 USD per year (Tax free) depending upon experience and role secured
  • Annual flight allowance (which should allow two return flights per year)
  • Accommodation provided in 2 bed onsite apartment with utilities and internet provided along with cleaning and laundry service
  • All meals provided in onsite 24 hr restaurant if required
  • Start and end of contract baggage allowance
  • Health insurance
  • Tution offered - up to 2 dependents (Must be in same academic year as School provides)
