BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen
BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen opened in the fall of 2020, and became the first bilingual school in the network. Teachers and students enjoy state-of-the-art facilities including a gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, track and field, soccer field, Apple computer lab, theater, science labs, and plentiful flexible space. In 2025 the school will celebrate its first graduating class of seniors.

Living and Working in Shenzhen
Located in the expat-friendly suburb of Shekou, there are numerous Western restaurants, grocery stores, IMAX movie theaters with current releases in English, and shopping opportunities close to the school. Shenzhen itself is a wonderful planned city filled with plants and shrubbery on the coast in the warmer southern climate of China. Additionally, the area has easy access by car or ferry to Hong Kong and other Chinese cities, such as Macao, Zhuhai, and Guangzhou.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- Bachelor's degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
- Previous experience within an EAL setting
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in teaching ideas, texts, and concepts with precision and confidence.
- Open to new ideas in teaching.
- Knowledgeable, passionate, and believe in transforming education.
- Able to motivate students to reach their highest potential, while also elevating own skills through peer collaboration and a culture where learning is of the greatest importance.
- Flexibility is important as well as strong relationship building skills and an ability to build a strong school community.
