Teachanywhere is seeking and enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join a well-established and respected international school in Kobe, Japan, for an August 2025 start.

About the School:

This International School is a well-established British International Primary School located in the attractive and International city of Kobe, Japan. It is the only accredited International Primary Curriculum (IPC) school in Japan. The school focuses solely on children aged between 3-11yrs (approx. 160 students), delivering a British-style curriculum, maintaining links to the Anglican church. This unique environment enables a family-orientated primary school in an international setting. The school is well-established and well-resourced and has an excellent reputation both at home and abroad, spanning a period of more than 75 years.

Kobe is a vibrant and international city, regularly appearing in the top three expatriate rankings of the best places to live in Japan. Located between the sea and the Rokko mountain range, Kobe is also considered one of Japan's most attractive cities. Benefits:

  • Teaching salaries are from approximately 340,000JPY- 500,000JPY per month
  • Contract completion bonus of one months' salary for each year worked
  • Furnished accommodation sourced in the local area with key money (deposit) paid by the school as well as the first month's rent. Staff are then responsible for the monthly rent (in the region of ¥90,000 per month.)

Requirements:

  • The school is looking for an excellent early years specialist teacher to join the team from August 2025. This is a unique, full-time teaching position for someone who is eager to teach Early Years.
  • The successful candidate will be a qualified early years teacher who is passionate about nurturing young learners.
  • Candidates should hold a UK or internationally recognized teaching qualification and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a UK or British international school.
  • The school welcomes applications from enthusiastic and reflective professionals with a passion for teaching and learning who are looking to thrive in a supportive, international learning environment.
  • You will be an excellent communicator and strong team player, who gets on well with colleagues.
  • You will be confident in using technology to maximize learning - this is a Google Workspace school and uses Chromebooks and iPads for teaching and learning.
  • You will be well organized, have a good sense of humor and want the children in your care to be the best they can be.
  • Confidence working with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds

  • To be successful in your application, you should:
  • be a fully qualified and/or licensed teacher
  • be able to pass police checks and background checks including references
  • be a proficient English speaker
  • possess good classroom management skills
  • be a citizen of the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the USA or Canada (to meet visa requirements)
